PACER
PRIVACY · UPDATED MAY 18 2026

HONEST PRIVACY.

Pacer is a calculator. It works without an account. When you sign in with Strava we read your activities — and only your activities — to fit your pace-vs-grade curve. That's it.

01

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you visit, basic web logs (IP, timestamp, user-agent) — kept 30 days for abuse prevention. If you sign in: your Strava athlete ID, name, and run activities (the streams: time, pace, grade, elevation). No heart rate or power data.

02

WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT

No third-party analytics. No advertising trackers. No social-graph access. No writes to your Strava — we never post, kudos, follow, or comment on your behalf. We don't buy or sell any personal data.

03

STRAVA · OUR DATA PARTNER

We use Strava OAuth for sign-in. Strava's ToS requires we tell you: tokens are stored encrypted, scoped to read-only, and revocable from your Strava settings page. Disconnect at any time and we wipe the cached activity data within 24 hours.

04

COOKIES

One session cookie (1st-party) when you sign in. One preference cookie (theme, unit) — only set when you change a default. No tracking pixels.

05

DATA RETENTION

Cached Strava streams: until you disconnect, then 24h. Pre-computed curves: same. Anonymous web logs: 30 days. Account-deletion request: hard-deleted within 7 days, confirmed by email.

06

YOUR RIGHTS

You can export your data (JSON download), delete your account, or revoke Strava access — all from /settings. GDPR / CCPA / UK-GDPR apply; data subject requests are honoured within 30 days.
